The German Shorthaired Pointer was developed in 19th-century Germany as a versatile hunting companion capable of pointing, tracking, and retrieving both feather and fur. Carefully bred for intelligence, endurance, and cooperation, the breed was brought to the United States in the early 1900s, where it quickly gained popularity among serious upland hunters. Today, the GSP remains one of the most complete and dependable sporting dogs in the field.
If you are interested in a puppy from one of Wild Covey’s German Shorthaired Pointer litters, please contact James to be added to our reservation list.
